Abstract

SURANTO, STUDENT NUMBER: 1312104534. Geography Education Study Program. Department of Social Science. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. University of Widya Dharma Klaten. Thesis: “An Analysis of Geographycal Factors which Influence Production of Dairy Milk in Lanjaran, Musuk, Boyolali 2017.” The purposes of the research are: (1) to know geographycal factors in Lanjaran. (2) to know the production of dairy milk in Lanjaran. (3) to know the geographycal factor which influence production of dairy milk in Lanjaran. The populations of this research are 327 peoples of dairy milk farmers in Lanjaran. The respondents are taken by using random sampling technique with the amounts are 50 peoples that is 15% from the sum of dairy milk farmer. The method of analysis of this research uses descriptive qualitative analysis from frequency and cross table. The result of this research shows that the factors that influence the animal husbandry in Lanjaran are location, stable, equipment, tool and cow with good quality, then the factors that influence the production of dairy milk are the race or clump of the cow, lactation period, the age of the cow, food and its implementation. The production of dairy milk in Lanjaran is below 10 liter per cow for once squezzing. The factor of dairy milk labor and the factor of dairy milk production are influential toward geographycal factors in Lanjaran which include: (1) Physical factors, that are climate, water, land, and morphology; (2) Non-physical factors, that are: human resources, management of animal husbandry and financial capital. Factors that influence animal husbandry of dairy milk in lanjaran are location (altitude, air temperatures, and the source of the water) and the factor that influence dairy milk production is food. The given food relates with the kind of green food which has fair quality with the content of nutrition value which is less cover. Dairy milk production is still less than optimal with the average of the production results are below 10 litre per cow. The production results are sold to Koperasi Unit Desa Musuk with fresh condition and with price 4.000,00 rupias per litre. Geographycal factors which influence the production of dairy milk in Lanjaran, (1) Physical factors, that are climate (ait temperatures and humidity), water and morphology. Undefinite air temeprature and air humidity bother the pleasure of the cow. Availability of water for necessity of the cow is still minimum. Morphology is that the altitude of the place to produce dairy milk with topography area from hill to mountain. (2) Non-physical factor, that is animal husbandry magement in giving of green food. Given kind of green food belongs to moderate quality which containts hard protein about 5-10% from dry ingredient, enegry about 41-50% from dry ingredient, calcium 0,3%.
