Abstract

Weir is a water building with fittings built across a river or a line that is intentionally made to raise the water level, so that water can be tapped and flowed into the channel through intake structures, and to control flow, sediment transport and river geometry so that it can used safely, efficiently and optimally. Sanggrahan Dam is a dam on the Karangnongko Gatak river, Klaten. The weir has not yet known the amount of the design discharge against rainfall in the region. This study aims to determine the magnitude of flood discharge originating from rainfall at the Karangnongko rain station which is located around the Sanggrahan Dam by conducting a comparison of the measured discharge. This study uses the latest data and then processed by hydrological analysis. The method used in this study is the method of haspers and the Weduwen method which will later be compared with measured discharge. From the results of the discussion above the results of the comparison of flood discharge QṜhaspers = 6.20 m3 / sec: QṜweduwen = 6,89 m3 / sec: QṜmeasured = 3.59 m3 / sec. From the discharge shows that the discharge measured by the two methods is greater than the measured discharge. Because not all rain water flows to the Sanggrahan dam. Keynot : weir, rainfall, measured discharge, method of haspers, weduwen method.
