Abstract

One of the problems facing education in Indonesia is the problem of lack of the learning process. In the learning process, children are less encouraged to develop thinking skills. The process of learning in the classroom is directed to the child's ability to memorize information, the brain is forced to recall and accumulate a variety of information without the information required to understand that he remembered it to be associated with everyday life. The result? When students graduate from school, they are clever in theory, but they are poor application. The quality of reading comprehension, students generally lack the discipline to use the time to read, lack of habituation to read, considered easy to understand a discourse, easily tired. With the approach to communications students will experience the learning process interesting, easy to understand the meaning of what is contained in the discourse. Problems in this study were (1) How is learning reading comprehension text of the story? (2) How do students' skills in reading comprehension text of the story? (3) Are there any problems faced by teachers and students in teaching reading comprehension text of the story? Research objectives are (1) Describe the learning reading comprehension text story (2) To determine the ability of students to read the story text comprehension. (3) describe the problems faced by teachers and students in learning to read the story text comprehension. This research method is a case study of fixed or embedded case study research. retrieval of data sources by selecting the informant based on certain positions that are considered to have information relating to the issues in depth and can be trusted to be a steady source of data. Data collection using tests and interviews, data analysis techniques used reduction. Presentation and drawing conclusions. Conclusions are (1) based on the description of the learning process showed less familiarity with the student, especially in the opening introduction of the system. The learning process uses an innovative system this system can be a blend of classical and contektual reading comprehension and learning materials colored with stories relating to the state, or condition of the child as such should be applied consistently active learning in the learning process. (2) The ability of students in reading comprehension text stories have demonstrated the ability to understand a text story that consists of text Java Font Origins story, story text and Prambanan Jonggrang Roro, text stories raden l Origin of the Rock, and text stories Origins Rowo dizziness (3) The problem of learning such as students think reading is easy, lack of discipline in following the study, lack of confidence, there is no culture of reading, teachers never or rarely gave a summary task. teachers have very limited teaching methods, resulting in less innovative.
